TimeBack ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

TimeBack is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect minimal data to provide and improve the app experience.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:

• Your selected habits and habit completion history
• App monitoring preferences (which apps you've chosen to monitor)
• Streak and momentum data
• Achievement progress
• App settings and preferences

Analytics Data

We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data that helps us improve the app. This includes:

• App feature usage patterns (e.g., which screens are visited)
• General device information (device type, OS version)
• App performance data

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not collect your Apple ID, name, email address, or any personal identifiers through analytics.

Subscription Data

If you subscribe to TimeBack Pro, your subscription is managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. We do not have access to your payment information.

Screen Time Data

TimeBack uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework) to detect when you open selected apps. This data is processed entirely on your device by Apple's framework. We do not have access to, collect, or transmit your Screen Time data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking frameworks. We do not collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).

Third-Party Services

The app integrates with the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — Subscription management and verification
• PostHog — Anonymous usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics — Crash reporting to help us fix bugs

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. These services receive only the minimum data necessary for their function.

Data Retention

Your local data remains on your device until you delete the app. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months to help us understand long-term usage trends.

Children's Privacy

TimeBack is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete all local app data by deleting the app from your device
• Request deletion of any analytics data by contacting us
• Opt out of analytics by contacting us

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
